2008 USAA Pendleton Cup Outrigger Challenge flyer
Wow….what a great event! We've already
been asked to come back.
It was a nice day to be on the water to
introduce our sport to the active duty
Marines that came out to participate.
We conducted some basic instruction and the
races began. All participants were
able to participate in a Sprint style race
at least twice for the best times before we
conducted our knock off race for 1st, 2nd
and 3rd place awards. The trophies are
beautiful. Check them out along with

A special Mahalo to Marine Corps Base Camp
Pendleton and Semper Fit for the exciting
opportunity and to our very own Nicole Ayan
for all her behind the scenes work on this
event to assist us in making it the success
it was. And, last but certainly not
least, a big Mahalo to Billy Whitford for
loaning us canoes, paddles and PFD's and for
his continued support of KMOCC.
Thank
you to all of you for a great time and for
allowing us to share this sport we love, outrigger canoe
paddling. We look forward
to paddling with you in the near future.
